Smithville Soccer Club Announces Affiliate Agreement with Futura FC

We are excited to announce a new affiliate agreement with Futura FC. While we are maintaining our commitment to providing a quality soccer experience to the Smithville area, we realized that we needed a partner to help us grow our programs, provide coaching expertise, and give those players seeking a higher level of play an outlet to do so. As such, we feel this affiliation is a "win-win" for the players and families in the Smithville area. We know that this sort of change can be a little daunting, though, and that there will be questions. We've made an attempt to answer what we think will be the most frequently asked questions below:

Smithville SC and Futura FC Q&A

Q:  What does this mean for the SSC Academy programs?
A:  The Academy programs will not change at their core. It will stay here in Smithville and follow the same schedule you've become accustomed to. The most obvious benefit of this affiliation will be the involvement of Futura FC coaches to educate our parent volunteers and provide additional soccer training as needed.

Q:  Will our rates go up for the Academy programs?
A:  No! We are committed to keeping this program in house and your costs the same. Futura FC will be helping us with programming and set up for these events, making them even better for you and your player.

Q:  Where can I get more information about the Academy programs or Futura FC?
A:  We've created a separate page for each of our programs, and you can find that here. Futura FC has their own website that you can find here: Futura FC Home Page

Q:  What does this mean for the SSC Recreational programs
A:  This will be the biggest shift in our program offerings, but we are excited about the opportunity. Teams that want a truly recreational experience will play through the Northland Sports Alliance (NSA) league at Tiffany Springs Park. This league has a great reputation and will provide a wider range of play for teams in the U7 to U9 age groups. Futura FC maintains a seat on the NSA board and is very involved in the operations of their league.

Q:  Will our rates go up for the Recreational program and how do we register?
A:  Registration for teams playing through NSA will be $95 a player. That amount covers your league fee, a uniform, and eight games with officials. Registration will take place using the link on the left and Smithville SC will work closely with the NSA to make sure teams are kept together and bracketed appropriately.

Q:  Where can I get more information about the Recreational program or the NSA?
A:  We've created a separate page for each of our programs, and you can find that here. The Northland Sports Alliance has their own website that you can find here: NSA Home Page
